Ian Wee is an Occupational Therapist who focuses on musculoskeletal injuries.  Ian is the founding director and principal practitioner of the Perth Integrated Health Clinic where his clients come from a varied source including the corporate sector, families and elite athletes.  Among the elite athletes PIHC assists are cyclists Cameron and Travis Meyer who are both riding with the Garmin Cervello professional cycling team when not representing Australia.

Rocktape initially met Ian Wee and his team at PIHC in August 2010.  Up until then Ian was not a big fan of any sort of taping and rarely used any form of tape.  However, Ian embraced both the Rocktape product and the ‘open source’ philosophy whereby we don’t believe there’s only one right way to tape.  Ian has since used Rocktape as an extension and adjunct to his clinical practise in concert with neuromuscular hands on skills and mobilisation techniques.

Ian is a passionate cyclist and combines his work and pleasure in his role as the Medical Classifier for Cycling Australia and the Australian Paralympics Committee.  Ian used Rocktape extensively in the support and treatment of the WA state track cycling team at the National Track Cycling Championships held in Sydney in February.  Rocktape was worn by the three WA women when they won the team pursuit and in the process broke the Australian record and were only 0.09 seconds off the world record.

The Rocktape team are continually amazed at Ian’s energy levels and passion for driving the PIHC business.  The PIHC will be the first practise in Australia to use custom branded Rocktape.
