Product Description

Attend the RockTape workshop for the chance to learn more about this fast growing method of sports taping used by innovative practitioners and elite athletes.

The half day workshop teaches kinesiology taping principles using an "open source" philosophy - we don't believe there is only one correct way to tape.  Participants will learn the principles that can then be applied to their individual patients or athletes.

Unlike traditional rigid tape, which utilises compression and immobilization in treatment, RockTape is elastic and offers a more comfortable alternative for the patient or athlete.  RockTape allows the muscle or joint to continue to move through its full range of motion without losing stability or impeding circulation.

RockTape activates the nervous and circulatory systems to initiate healing and is used by the practitioners to assist in the treatment of:

  • Injured muscles
  • Biomechanical dysfunction
  • Postural dysfunction by improving proprioceptive feedback to the area
  • Control of inflammation or lyphoedema.
  •

RockTape is used by athletes to:

  • Shorten rehabilitation
  • Improve endurance through the ability to maintain the correct posture and increase circulation to to the working muscles
  • Improve recovery time after intense training sessions or races, as the increased circulation assists in the removal of waste products such as lactic
  •

RockTape, as worn by Cadel Evans in the Tour de France, with successful trials by Cronulla Sharks, Sydney Swans, World Champion cyclists Sarah Kent and Ash Ankudinoff and Olympic gold medallist beach volleyballer Natalie Cook.

RockTape has also developed a new protocol for taping called “Power Taping”. This movement based taping technique embraces the concept of muscles acting together as a chain as oposed to in isolation.
