Our new RockPods course applies a modern, manual therapy and pain science take on the use of “cupping”. Cupping creates a decompressive force in the tissues immediately under the cup, with a compressive force created around the rim of the cup. This creates a different stimulus to the tissues and the nervous system and for some people can be a relaxing way of treating tight or sore areas.

The RockPods, once attached to the skin, can be manipulated by the therapist (“external glide”), through the patient moving (“internal glide”), or a combination of both. The RockPods can be used with varying levels of decompression and, by adding in movement of the patient, can be a more “active” intervention that involves the patient.

Our RockPods course teaches concepts that can be applied to many regions of the body.  The course is currently available online, and in-person.

Course Outline:

  • Introduction and background of cupping
  • Application principles for RockPods
  • RockPod techniques
  • Examples of use with different areas of the body
  • Using RockPods as a movement cue

The online course runs for 45 minutes.  Once you purchase the RockPods online training you will receive an email that will provide you with your login details, and you will then have access to watch the one line course for 12 months as many times as you want.
