He is an APA Sports Physiotherapist with dual Master’s degrees (Sports Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy). Currently he is working on a PhD in “Prevention of ACL injuries in female AFL footballers”. His research has been published in the international sports medicine journal “Physical Therapy in Sport”.

His skills have been developed over his 30 year career. He has vast experience in a range of sports, having worked with St. Kilda Football Club (AFL), Frankston Dolphins (VFL), Cricket Victoria, the ASP World Surfing tour, Australian Open Tennis and Australian Weightlifting teams. Most recently he has worked with Boxing (including former IBF World Middleweight champion Sam “King” Soliman) and Mixed Martial Arts (UFC).

As well as being a Sports and Spinal Physio, Jack was selected to be part of the initial intake in Worksafe’s Occupational Physiotherapy programme in 2008. It aimed to prevent and upgrade the management of workplace injuries. He has been a finalist three times in Victoria’s Worksafe Awards.

He has taught physiotherapy students and tutored anatomy at Melbourne University and was a freelance journalist for The Age and BRW magazine – writing on health, fitness, injury prevention and wellbeing.

Aside from physiotherapy, Jack has been a leading figure in the Australian fitness industry. His career highlights include a World Aerobics Championship Silver medal, Australian national titles, and being Victoria’s Fitness Leader of the Year in 1991.

Away from the clinic, Jack loves yoga, running, weights and chilling at the beach. In winter, he will be watching his beloved Essendon in the AFL.
