In the months leading up to the 2010 Perth City to Surf I had virtually all of my training hindered by constant shin splints.   I had tried almost everything to overcome the pain; e.g. stretching, running on grass, applying tiger balm and even purchased expensive new fitted running shoes, however regardless of what I did I could only ever get a couple of km’s into my run before the pain of the shin splints set in and forced me to stop.   This was incredibly frustrating because I knew my fitness was not letting me down.

On the morning of the City to Surf I tried Rocktape for the first time, having it applied to my shins as recommended in the Rocktape instructional leaflet half an hour before the start.   To say I was thrilled to cross the finish line in a little over an hour having run 12km’s on bitumen without encountering the pain of shin splints would be an understatement!

I can’t wait to use Rocktape in my preparation for next year’s City to Surf.
