RockTape courses are Australia’s most popular kinesiology tape courses.  Since 2010 we have conducted over 500 full and half day courses, attended by more than 10,000 people.  Why the interest?

Unlike other methods, RockTape’s taping protocol is based on an ‘open-source’ philosophy – we don’t believe there’s only one right way to tape.  This approach to taping integrates concepts from all other methods and provides a framework for the practitioner to determine the best approach for them and their clients using their own clinical reasoning.  By teaching a framework of kinesiology taping – concepts not recipes, it’s much easier for attendees to apply clinically to their customer group – i.e. lower limb, upper limb, paediatric, geriatric, neuro, musculoskeletal, equine, canine, etc.

The full day introduction (level1) courses remain our principal method of introducing the concept of kinesiology taping to the majority of practitioners.  This course provides the basics of kinesiology taping: regional taping for pain, taping for swelling and recovery, taping for posture and useful taping applications for pregnancy.  In addition, this course includes an introduction to the concepts of “Fascial Chain Taping”: utilising the benefits of kinesiology taping to tape the muscles associated with a particular activity.  For example, linking the muscles of the appropriate kinetic chain, i.e. lower back, hamstring and calf muscles that make up the posterior chain.

We also conduct full day RockBlades courses.  Stainless steel tools enable you to assess the tissue in a different way, as well as being great self-care: prevent your hands fatiguing and being prone to injury yourself.

Attend the RockBlades full day course and learn how instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) could be integrated into your patient care.  The RockBlades course presents an alternate model for IASTM work – what we define as “Instrument Assisted Neuro Sensory Modulation” or IANSM.  This draws from current thinking of the way in which fascia behaves and the influence that manual therapy has on these tissues, as well as the latest pain science.

The RockBlades approach is typically very gentle, and the use of instruments can allow the practitioner to assess and “feel” the patient tissue in a different way.  Participants new to the use of tools are always surprised at the level of tissue information that can be felt through the tools.

The stainless steel RockBlades will last a lifetime!
