Rocktape today announced a partnership kayaker Brodie Holmes.
After spending many years as a surf life saver, and qualifying for the men’s surf ski finals at the 2009 Australian Surf Lifesaving championships, Brodie was approached to join the WAIS kayak squad. Under the expert tutelage of Olympic Bronze medalist Ramon Anderson, Brodie has refined his technique and is one of the sports brightest young prospects.
“Since joining the WAIS program I have at times found it hard to push through the fatigue of training up to three times a day,” said Brodie. “I was then introduced to Rocktape and it has assisted me to be able to maintain my correct posture and support my neck and back muscles through training, enabling me to feel much stronger on the kayak. From the results I have had, I would strongly recommend using Rocktape.”
In 2010, Brodie racked up a series of impressive results:
- 1st K4 1000m National Grand Prix Adelaide
- 2nd Classic Paddle South Perth to East Fremantle
- 4th K2 1000m National Grand Prix Adelaide
- 5th Avon Descent (Long Plastic category)
- 6th Sorrento Challenge
- A number of state titles in both Surf and Kayak disciplines
Brodie Holmes currently resides and trains in Scarborough, Western Australia, and is coached by Ramon Anderson at the Western Australian Institute of Sport.
