Rocktape today announced a partnership with Emma Weitnauer, an eleven time Ironman finisher and one of only three professional triathletes in Tasmania. Of late Emma has ventured into adventure racing dominating the Australian Multisport Championships at the Freycinet Challenge winning the individual Women’s event three years in a row (’08, ’09 and ’10).
Emma is the female member of a mixed four person team selected to compete in the Adventure Racing World Championships to be held in Tasmania in November 2011, in a field of 90 teams from around the world.
“I have a big year ahead, my main focus is the XPD Adventure Racing World Championships in November. Over the last couple of months I have been struggling with a few injuries that have set me back a bit,” said Emma. I have been using Rocktape on my fractured ribs and the Rocktape has helped with pain reduction. I get a feeling of support but yet have freedom to move. Rocktape is much more comfortable than the rigid tape I had been using.”
In 2011, Emma has already racked up a series of impressive results:
- 3rd Narawntapu Off-Road Ultra Marathon (50km)
- 5th Cadbury Marathon
In 2010, Emma’s race results included:
- 1st Solo Australian Multisport Championships
- 1st Solo Winter Challenge
- 1st Solo Summer Survival
- 3rd Point-to Pinnacle Half Marathon
- 6th Anaconda Adventure Race, Lorne
Emma Weitnauer is from Hobart and Rocktape look forward to assisting Emma with her goals of successfully defending her Australian Multisport Championship and competing in the Adventure Racing World Championships.
