Rocktape today announced a partnership with beach volleyballers Natalie Cook and Tara West.

Natalie Cook, a four time Olympian, has recently teamed up with one of Australia’s best indoor volleyball players, Tara West, in an attempt to secure a spot at the London Olympics in 2012.

Natalie Cook has won both an Olympic gold medal (Sydney 2000) and a bronze medal (Atlanta 1996) and is aiming to become the first Australian woman to compete in five summer Olympics.

Tara West has twice been awarded the Australian Volleyball Federation’s Most Outstanding Player (female) and has starred for the Australian national team and helped WA to a national title.

Everyone at Rocktape is very excited to be supporting these two outstanding athletes on their journey for the 2012 Olympics.  Both athletes have suffered serious injuries in the past and we believe Rocktape can assist them to not be hindered by their past injuries and allow them have every chance to get the necessary results on the upcoming Beach Volleyball World Tour Events.

“I suffered a serious shoulder injury in 2004 and I have used kinesiology tape for some time to provide support and stability, but importantly still allow full range of movement,” said Natalie.  “I was recently introduced to Rocktape and I have found both the elasticity and adhesive qualities far superior to the other brands I had previously used.”

Their partnership began in January 2011 and they have already racked up a series of impressive results:

  • 1st West Australian Open
  • 3rd Queensland Open
  • 3rd Victorian Open

Natalie and Tara both currently reside in Brisbane, Queensland, and are coached by American Steve Anderson.
